DESCRIPTION:Just like any other area of healthcare\, sexual and reproductive health has a long history of oppression and discrimination towards people of color. High quality health interventions must be aware of\, and responsive to this history in order to be effective. Good sex ed has the power to be transformative. Comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) should people about power and privilege\, and equity in relationships. CSE equips us for the real world. It addresses inequity and injustice. Responsive\, honest and inclusive sex ed must also be anti-racist. In this presentation you’ll learn about the history of racism sexual and reproductive health\, discuss contemporary concerns\, and help imagine a future that is free from medical marginalization. \nWatch the recap of the event here \n
