DESCRIPTION:This event is a collaboration hosted by Canadian Women of Colour Leadership Network\, Ottawa Black Mental Health Coalition\, and Somerset West Community Health Centre… \nJoin us on March 7th\, 2024 from 5:30pm to 9pm for this special event exclusively for Black Women celebrating Black Mental Health Week and International Women’s Day (IWD)\, themed #InspireInclusion. \nBased on the Netflix documentary In Our Mother’s Gardens. In Our Mothers’ Gardens celebrates the strength and resiliency of Black women and Black families through the complex\, and oftentimes humorous\, relationships between women across generations. We’ll be planting seeds by featuring short clips from the series to spark reflection and discussion. DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join Canadian Women of Colour Leadership Network’s first drop-in session of 2024\, which will focus on celebrating and reflecting on International Women’s Day! This is the beginning of our monthly drop-in series exclusively for BIWOC\, Femmes and newcomer Women. Throughout this series\, we will use the arts\, movement\, and self-reflection activities to empower our participants and connect them with their community members in a compassionate space.  \nFor this upcoming session on March 23rd\, participants can choose between writing thank-you cards for inspiring women in their lives or diving into works written by female poets. Participants will also have the chance to discuss what womanhood means to them and how they navigate the beauty and challenges of their identities.
