About Us

The Canadian Women of Colour Leadership Network (CWCLN) is a Black-led and Black-serving community organization established in 2018 in Canada’s National Capital Region.

Our work centres Black women and femmes while creating culturally responsive programs, supports and opportunities for Black and other racialized women, femmes and communities.

Since our beginnings, CWCLN has grown from our roots in leadership and career development to encompass mental health and wellness, peer support, leadership and mentorship, economic empowerment, workforce development, system navigation and community support, Black maternal health and reproductive justice, education and training, creative wellness, and community engagement.

Grounded in an intersectional and community-informed approach, CWCLN works to address barriers, strengthen access to resources and opportunities, build individual and community capacity, and create spaces where Black and racialized women and femmes can connect, learn, lead and thrive.
