April – BIWOC Drop In

April 20 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us for a soul-nourishing drop-in session in honour of Black Maternal Health Month! All Black & racialized women and femmes and especially mothers, guardians and caregivers are invited to participate in a session that aims to provide support, reflection and rejuvenation.

We’re thrilled to welcome our special guest speaker, Danielle, a doula with a wealth of knowledge and compassion. Danielle will graciously share her expertise and tips relating to the intricate journey of birthing, motherhood, parenting, and caregiving. Following this, participants will have the opportunity to create a milestone map, which involves mapping either the milestones of their children or their own personal milestones.

It’s a chance to recognize our successes, the challenges we’ve conquered and the growth we’ve experienced along the way. Finally, we will wrap up by participating in a mindful breathing exercise alongside gentle yoga poses to release tension in our bodies and minds and engage in necessary self-care.
