A certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and lactation educator, she supported over 200 families in Ottawa between 2012 and 2020. Her training spans trauma-informed care, traditional healing, pregnancy loss, and peer mental health support, including certification in Psychological First Aid from Johns Hopkins and Black Peer Support Facilitator training through the Royal Ottawa Hospital and the Canadian Women of Colour Leadership Network.
Danielle holds a BA from Queen’s University and a diploma in Applied Museum Studies from Algonquin College. She brings experience in public speaking, curriculum development, and volunteer engagement, with past roles in archival work, education, and urban agriculture. A lifelong learner and collaborator, she is deeply committed to centering Black and Indigenous voices in her work—and is the proud mother of two teenagers who continue to inspire her daily.
