21 Oct Building Bridges with Black Nurses Leading Change
On September 13th, CWCLN was honoured to attend the Black Nurses Leading Change September Mix and Mingle.
Our Founder & CEO, Sophia Jacob, was invited as a guest speaker, where she shared reflections on leadership rooted in creating spaces for Black and racialized women and femmes. Sophia emphasized the importance of organizations like CWCLN and Black Nurses Leading Change that work to build safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces — from health care to community care.
The evening was a powerful opportunity to connect with Ontario’s Black nursing community, exchange insights, and explore how collaboration across sectors can strengthen the mental, physical, and holistic well-being of Black communities. The evening was also filled with fun, networking, conversation, and connection, making it a truly inspiring gathering.
At CWCLN, we believe that when Black-led organizations come together — in health, wellness, and leadership — we push the boundaries of what equity and community care truly look like.
